How to choose right earrings for your face shape

When you dress up for an occasion as huge as your wedding day, you take care of every little detail, then why miss out on earrings? Usually, we leave the earrings shopping in the end, not giving much importance to it. However, keep in mind that you can accentuate your overall look by picking the right kind of earrings that match the shape of your face.

I am listing down what kind of earring will suit different face shapes to give you that extra edge on your wedding day below:

1: Oval

An oval shaped face has a wide forehead and cheekbones that narrow down towards the chin. Women blessed with oval shaped faced can go ahead with almost any kind of earrings. However, they can create a striking look by wearing oval shaped danglers. These earrings accentuate face shape without adding any width or length.

2: Round

Round shaped face is widest at the cheekbones and does not taper down to the chin, unlike others. Women with a round face tend to elongate their face with dangling earrings. Look for angular designs as opposed to round pattern. Round face women should also avoid round or disk shaped danglers as they make the face look wider.

3: Heart Shaped

Heart shaped face is widest at the forehead, taper down to cheeks and further tapers to the chin. Women with heart shaped face have wider forehead than cheeks. Women with heart shaped earrings should go with elongated lines and curves as they will help balance out the face and draw attention to eyes. Women with heart shaped faces look particularly appealing in chandelier earrings.

4: Square

Square shaped face has a forehead, cheeks and jaws of the same width. Women with square face have stronger jaw line as compared to other face shapes. Best choice for women with square shaped face is hoop earrings. Such hoops make the face smoother and smaller. Women with square shaped face should avoid wide earrings.

5: Narrow

This is also called as a rectangular shaped face. A Narrow shaped face looks similar to square shaped face but it is elongated. Pearl earrings are the best earrings for this face shape. If you love long dangle earrings then go for elongated curves as this will add a little drama to your face.

6: Diamond Shaped

Diamond shaped face is wide at cheekbones and narrow at the forehead and the chin. Women with diamond shaped faces have strong cheekbones. Both dangle and hoop earrings look great with these type of faces. Earrings with soft curves help minimise sharpness around cheekbones.
