Talvar means Sword. A shinning sword has
the capability to cut down enemy into pieces. Today I am not going to talk
about "talvar" and its shapes and figures but about the movie
"talvar" which is based on true story of the most controversial
murder case in Indian history. The movie talks about “Talvar” of words, about
how Indian police reacts to crime. A lot has been said and heard on television
on Aarushi murder case and this movie talks about the bitter truth in more
convincing way by just portraying facts and figures and letting you, the
viewer, decide who is guilty and why?
The story is centred on double murder case
which happened in city Noida. 14 year old Aarushi was found dead in her bedroom
on March 15. Hemraj who was the servant was initially suspected guilty until he
was found dead the other day. Suspicion fell on the parents Dr Rajesh Talwar
and Nupur Talwar who were suspected to do "Honour killing" of their
daughter. In the movie Gulzar and Bhardwaj name changed remain close to the
suspects of the case deny their guilt and investigators identify another equally
suspect. Very important part of the movie is played by Actor Irrfan Khan who is
detective from Central Bureau of Investigation department named Ashvin
Kumar.
Khan puts together the facts and figures
to find the culprit. His zeal and desire to find the culprit will give you Goosebumps.
You might be mildly shocked with the interrogation scenes where movie depicts
"narco test" being done on the suspects. There is guest appearance of
Tabu who plays role of Irrfan Khan’s wife which might be create distractions
but plot of the movie is so powerful that it just keeps you alert all the time.
You cannot afford to miss any scene.
All the characters in the movie have done
justice to their character. Neeraj Kabi and Konkona Sen Sharma had played the
role parents adding diverse drama to the mystery solving scenes. Irrfan Khan earns
brownie points for the acting and as Ashvin to bring in gravity to
investigation and suspicion to the suspects.
If you ask me why you should watch this
movie by Meghna Gulzar? My answer is the movie is full of thrilling sequences
and remarkable acting.
