Kumar hosted a fun filled evening to showcase bespoke cashmere sweater collection where in a global first
one can have your very own cashmere sweater exclusively knitted for you in your
chosen colors. The
new collection signals
the evolution of the label from being a niched brand of exquisite
cashmere scarves into India’s first
luxury lifestyle brand with its signature aesthetic now presented in a
range of all-season ready-to-wear, jewelry, menswear and novelty gifts.
Owner Shilu Kumar says, “I have spent
a significant part of my life window shopping in Paris and Milan and used to
dream about living in those exquisite windows.” So when designer
Shilu Kumar started designing the recently opened global Pashma flagship at the
DLF Emporio, she decided to indulge herself. Using the stores unique
three-sided façade, she created window walkways where as you guessed visitors
can walk right into the windows and interact with the displays.

Nuanced
elements reflecting the brand’s Indian heritage are placed in a post-modern
contemporary setting reflecting the brand’s journey that has taken “Made in India” across the globe. As
India’s first fashion brand and is the only Indian consumer brand with a truly
international presence, Pashma’s evolution is a story of entrepreneurship as
much as Indian business coming of age on the global stage.
